Terms
Homeowner Terms
The agreement between you and AgentPitch when you use it to compare estate agents as a homeowner or seller.
Version 2026-10-22-v1 · Last updated 22 October 2026
1. About these terms
AgentPitch is run by a sole trader and is not a limited company. The operator's full legal name is set out in our Privacy Notice (section 1, Who we are).
Business correspondence address: 7 Marylebone Lane, London, England, W1U 1DB.
Email: hello@agentpitch.co.uk
ICO registration status: pending assessment.
In these terms, "AgentPitch", "we" and "us" mean the sole trader who operates AgentPitch, named in our Privacy Notice. These terms apply when you create a homeowner account or submit a property enquiry. Please read them with our Privacy Notice. You'll be asked to confirm you agree before you can create an account or make an enquiry.
2. What AgentPitch does, and doesn't do
AgentPitch is an online introduction platform. It lets you describe your property once and receive written proposals from estate agents, which you can compare before choosing whether to invite any of them for a valuation.
- AgentPitch is not an estate agent. We don't market or sell your property, and we don't act for you or for any agent.
- We don't give valuation, legal, financial or tax advice. Valuations, fees and opinions in proposals are the agents' own.
- Examples on our website that use fictional agencies or figures are clearly labelled as examples.
3. Free, with no obligation
- AgentPitch is free for homeowners and sellers.
- You're under no obligation to invite or instruct any agent.
- Inviting an agent for a valuation is not instructing them.
- If you decide to instruct an agent, that is a separate contract directly between you and the agency, on its terms of business, including its fees, any minimum contract period and notice period. Read those terms carefully before you sign. You may have rights under consumer law in that contract, such as a cancellation period; those are matters between you and the agency.
4. Who can use AgentPitch
- You must be 18 or over.
- You must own the property or have authority to act for the owner, for example as an executor, attorney, trustee, company officer or receiver. See who can use AgentPitch.
- When you submit an enquiry you'll confirm your connection to the property. That statement must be true. We may ask for more information, and may decline an enquiry if we can't confirm it. A verified email address on its own is not proof of authority.
5. Your enquiry
- Please give accurate information about the property and keep it up to date.
- We review every enquiry by hand and may decline one, for example if details seem inaccurate or the property is outside the areas agents cover.
- If approved, we invite up to 10 suitable branches, who have 48 hours to send a written proposal.
- We can't guarantee how many agents will respond, or that any will.
- You can withdraw your enquiry at any time from your account. Doing so cancels any valuation visits arranged through AgentPitch and stops branches seeing your details through the platform.
7. Agents and their information
Agents write their own proposals and supply their own details. We check agent applications before they can respond to enquiries, but we can't verify everything an agent says. Any review rating shown is supplied by the agent, checked by us when it is submitted, and labelled as agent-supplied.
By law, estate agents dealing with sellers must belong to a government-approved redress scheme. If you have a complaint about an agent, raise it with the agency first and then with its redress scheme.
8. Using AgentPitch fairly
Please don't:
- give false information, or make an enquiry about a property you have no authority to sell;
- harass agents or other users, or use the service to collect agents' information for other purposes;
- try to access data or parts of the service you're not allowed to, or interfere with how it works.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, telling you why unless the law or safety reasons prevent it.
9. Our responsibility to you
- We'll provide the service with reasonable care and skill.
- If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that. Loss is foreseeable if it's obvious it will happen, or if we both knew it might happen when you started using AgentPitch. We're not responsible for loss that isn't foreseeable.
- We're not responsible for what agents say or do, the accuracy of their valuations, the terms you agree with them, or the outcome of your sale.
- We may need to pause the service for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We'll try to keep this to a minimum.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Closing your account
You can stop using AgentPitch at any time. To close your account and ask us to delete your data, use the data rights page. Some records may need to be kept for legal reasons; we'll tell you if so.
We may stop providing AgentPitch, or close an inactive account, by giving you reasonable notice by email. This won't affect any agreement you've made directly with an agency.
11. Complaints
If something has gone wrong with AgentPitch, email hello@agentpitch.co.uk with your account email and what happened. We'll acknowledge your complaint, look into it and reply to you. Complaints about an estate agent's own service should go to that agency and its redress scheme.
12. Changes, transfers and the law
We may update these terms. If changes are important, we'll ask you to review and accept the new version before your next enquiry or booking. If the AgentPitch business is transferred (for example to a limited company set up by its owner), we may transfer this agreement to the new operator; we'll tell you beforehand, and it won't reduce your rights.
Nobody else has any rights under these terms. If a court decides part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
