Selling in London

Compare estate agents in London before you invite them round.

London is a collection of very local markets. A flat in a converted Victorian house, a 1930s semi on the outskirts and a new-build apartment near a station attract different buyers and need different marketing. AgentPitch lets you compare how branches covering your postcode would handle your sale, in writing, first.

Skip the ring-round

Tell us about your home once, rather than repeating the same details to branch after branch. Proposals arrive in writing for you to compare.

Fees and terms side by side

Sole and multi-agency fees, contract length and notice periods are shown in one table, with fee estimates in pounds.

Invite only who you want

Choose up to five agents for an in-person valuation. Inviting an agent is never the same as instructing them.

Things to think about when selling in London

Practical points to raise with any agent, and to look for in their written proposal.

Leasehold flats and lease length

Many London homes are leasehold flats. As a lease shortens, particularly as it approaches 80 years, buyers and lenders become more cautious. Ask agents whether they'd recommend checking the lease or extension options before marketing.

Conversions and building information

For flats in converted houses or purpose-built blocks, buyers will want service charge details, any major works planned and, where relevant, building-safety information. An agent who asks for these early can save weeks later.

Hyper-local pricing

Prices can shift street by street and between sides of a high street. Compare the comparable sales each agent uses. Are they genuinely nearby and similar to your home?

Stations and the buyer pool

Walking distance to Tube, Overground, Elizabeth line or rail stations is often central to how London homes are marketed. A strong proposal explains who your likely buyers are and how the agent will reach them.

Finding the right agent in London shouldn’t mean chasing five of them

Describe your property once. We review your enquiry by hand, then invite registered branches that cover your postcode district to send a personalised written proposal within 48 hours. You compare fees, contract terms, marketing plans and local evidence side by side, then decide whom to invite for an in-person valuation (up to five). Free for sellers, and inviting an agent is never the same as instructing them.

AgentPitch is a new business welcoming real enquiries and estate agent applications throughout England. How many proposals you receive depends on which local branches have joined and choose to respond.
